How funds will be used and distributed: As they recover, they are all seeking our support for both immediate needs, such as housing, medicine, clothing, and supplies, as well as the long-term process of starting to rebuild their homes. Their goal is to raise $100,000 and we, as members of their communities, can help them reach it! This money will be distributed among all the residents of the building.
Each of these individuals has deeply supported Boston-based organizing and community building and helped envision racial and housing justice for this city. Now we have the chance to show up for them and provide some financial support as they navigate what comes next. They all believe in a world where everyone has a right to live, be housed, and thrive; we know we all need each other to build a new world and part of that is showing up for each other in crisis. In providing this support, we’re practicing supporting our people to not only survive but thrive after crisis.
Please donate if you can and/or share this fundraiser - we recognize that we can only do this together and through the power and care of our community networks.
Anything that you can give - or any shares you make - is deeply appreciated. We’re particularly asking people with class privilege, wealth, and housing stability to show up big for our people! Thank you so much for your support!
