The Williamsburgh Yacht Club is fundraising for a new Opening Day cannon. We have not had our own since the clubhouse burned down in 1988 and it went missing. Although we appreciate having been able to borrow one every year from neighboring yacht clubs, this accomodation is never a guarantee. In truth our club not only needs its own cannon, it deserves one. We have a fundraising goal of $3200 for a canon that represents our terrific members and how great our club is, while also defining the growth and potential for greatness that is still coming.
