A few days ago, our cat went missing, something that had never happened before. After searching all day, she finally came back home on Sunday night but she was limping, weak, and barely able to walk.
We rushed her to the vet, where we received the news that she has brain damage and is missing many of her normal reflexes. The vet explained that this kind of injury could only happen if she had fallen from somewhere really tall like a cliff or tall structure, or had been struck very hard. Since we live on flat land with nothing like that, we believe someone hurt her.
She’s always been such a gentle, loving cat and seeing her like this, confused and struggling to move, has been devastating.
The vet told us that she urgently needs to see a veterinary neurologist or an emergency specialist to give her the best chance at recovery. Unfortunately, those visits and treatments are far beyond what we can afford right now.
We’re asking for help, any amount, big or small, to give her the care she really needs. Every donation will go directly toward her emergency vet visits, neurological exams, and any treatment or therapy that can help her heal.
Even if you can’t donate, sharing her story means the world to us. Thank you for taking the time to read this, for caring, and for helping us fight for our girl. She deserves a second chance.
