Support our Capstone Film: The Curse

Hello, we're Talia Mendoza and Lesley Vargas! Both seniors at CSUMB working on our Capstone film called:

The Curse

The film follows a teenage Latina who is struggling to discover who she is, bouncing between the child she used to be and the woman she is becoming. This dichotomy is made physical as, after having nightmares and visions, she realizes that she is transforming into a werewolf.

We want this film to be an expression of what happens when our emotions, and young women's emotions specifically, are demonized and pushed down. We want to show that these feelings are justified, and that there can be power in rage. Through this film, we want the viewer to be inspired by the empowerment our character experiences, and to be at peace with all the parts of yourself.

Our filming begins February 1st, and every little bit helps! For our last project as students at CSUMB, we want this film to come alive, and with your support we believe that it can be great.
