Our family is currently caring for a resilient 3-year-old child who has recently begun a fight no child should have to face.

What should have been a joyful celebration quickly became our worst nightmare. We spent her third birthday in the ER, and within hours were sent three hours away to a children's hospital. It was there that she received the most devastating birthday gift imaginable: a diagnosis of acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

We remained in the hospital for two and a half weeks, including a rough week in the PICU. Since her discharge, doctors have required that we stay close to the hospital, and we have been living locally to manage her intensive treatment schedule.

During this time, our sweet girl has endured more than most adults ever will- countless blood draws, several spinal taps, weekly chemotherapy, and numerous medications taken at home. Through every wave of pain, every appointment, and every unfamiliar room, she has shown a level of bravery that leaves us in awe.

This unexpected journey has placed a significant financial strain on our family. Being away from home, missing work, covering travel, housing, meals, medical expenses, and all the necessities that come with long-term treatment has created challenges we simply cannot manage alone.

To everyone who has been lifting our family up in prayer, checking in, sending love, and rallying around us- we want to say a heartfelt thank you. Your faith, your words, and your support have carried us through some of the hardest moments. We feel your prayers, and they mean more to us than we can ever put into words.
