Santa Cruz de la Sierra in Bolivia is in the middle of a crisis like no other. Hundreds of wildfires are tearing through our region, not only endangering lives but also adding to the alarming rate of Amazon deforestation and putting our wildlife at risk. To make matters worse, our city is choking on the worst air quality ever recorded, with an Air Pollution Index score of 308, rated "extremely bad" by the officials. But here's where you and us can make a real difference. Our amazing firefighters in Santa Cruz are standing strong on the front lines. These brave souls are volunteers, putting their health and safety on the line to protect our community.
They desperately need our help to buy medicine and equipment, which unfortunately hasn't been provided by our government, and we're launching this fundraiser to make sure they have the resources and equipment they need to fight these devastating wildfires and keep our environment safe.

Como muchos de ustedes saben, nuestra hermosa Santa Cruz está siendo fuertemente afectada por los incendios forestales provocados por chaqueos ilegales, por ende afectando a nuestras familias quienes están sufriendo por la densa humadera en la ciudad. No solo eso, sino la fauna y flora de nuestros bosques.
Nos estamos uniendo con Casa Juventud para hacer llegar una ayuda a los bomberos que con su arduo trabajo y sacrificio están apaciguando las llamas en los Parques Noel Kempff Mercado y Amboro.
