Support Our Botanical Short Film Journey

Thank you for taking the time to visit this page and learn more about our project!

POTHOS is an upcoming student short film about plants, science, and empathy.

Logline: A passionate young scientist's typical night of research is interrupted when a strange botanical figure appears out of the shadows, asking for help.

ABOUT

Empathy is at the heart of our story, driving our creative process, as well as the actions of our main character, Boda. A scientist and self-proclaimed hippie, she spends her days in a garden and her nights in a lab studying plant life. She embodies the ideals of teachers, who humbly share knowledge without any expectation of reciprocity.

We have been lucky enough to be given the opportunity to create a film on an analog format: 16mm film. Our cinematographer has spent a significant amount of time studying this analog process, as well as building, and loading the camera.
