Roselyn Awolowo, lovingly known as Rose, is a shining light in the lives of everyone who knows her. She is a devoted wife to her loving husband, Sunday Awolowo, and an incredible mother to her two beautiful daughters, Seminire (10 years old) and Araoluwa (7 years old). Her family is her world, and her greatest desire is to continue being there to guide, nurture, and love them for many more years to come.

Rose has dedicated much of her life to serving others. For several years, she has worked as a teaching assistant at the Netherlands International School in Lagos, Nigeria, where her gentle patience and unwavering dedication have touched countless young lives. Generations of children have benefitted from her commitment to helping them learn, grow, and thrive in a safe and supportive environment.

Now Rose is facing the greatest challenge of her life. She was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and the cost of her treatment is overwhelming. Doctors have recommended a course of chemotherapy combining Carboplatin, Paclitaxel, and Pembrolizumab — four sessions, each costing ₦6,135,333, amounting to ₦24,541,332 ($16,000). This is followed by Epirubicin and Cyclophosphamide — four additional sessions at ₦583,452 each, totaling ₦2,333,808. Altogether, Rose requires ₦26,875,140 ($17,500) just to complete this initial phase of treatment. For her family, this figure represents an impossible burden to carry alone.

Her love for God is evident in everything she does. As a longtime member of the Lagos Church of Christ, Rose has inspired and strengthened the faith of so many through her work as a Sunday school teacher and mentor. She has guided youths with kindness, compassion, and wisdom, helping them walk confidently in their faith. Rose is not only a servant of God but also a friend who constantly lifts others up, prays for them, and reminds them of God’s love.

Outside of her work and service, Rose is full of joy and life. She has a wonderful sense of style, she loves fashion and has an eye for looking graceful and radiant. She is known for her warm laughter that fills any room she walks into, and for the way she makes everyone feel welcomed and loved.

We believe wholeheartedly that Rose will overcome this challenge, but she cannot do it alone. This is our opportunity to give back to someone who has given so much to her family, her students, her church, and her friends.
