On April 9th, we received devastating news that our unborn baby was diagnosed with a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, a rare and life threatening condition. CDH, is causing her organs to migrate into the chest cavity. Due to this, her heart is on the right side of her chest and her lungs have limited space to develop.

After receiving this diagnosis, our little one will need at least one major surgery shortly after birth. On top of this, she will receive very extensive care that will require her to be admitted to the NICU for a prolonged period of time. With CDH, she may need to receive life saving measures. All of these factors make for a very complicated treatment plan.

Our local hospital is unable to provide the care our little girl will need. With that, our family will need to relocate prior to her birth, and we are preparing for a multiple months long stay away from our home. We are dedicated to doing whatever we need to do in order to get our baby the best care she can get.
