Support Our Award-Winning Film Crew

Participating in the 48-Hour Film Project is a thrilling challenge where filmmakers conceive, script, shoot, and edit a short film within just 48 hours. Our team embraced this high-stakes creative sprint in Denver and created Brothergirls — a heartfelt, energetic short that reflects the power of collaboration under pressure. Our efforts paid off: we won Best Film, Audience Choice, Best Ensemble and Best Screenplay at the 2024 Denver 48-Hour Film Project, earning a spot at Filmapalooza, the international culmination of the competition. There, Brothergirls was showcased alongside top films from around the world and was officially selected to screen at the Short Film Corner at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.

As the producer of Brothergirls, I had the privilege of assembling and leading a talented team to bring this story to life. The film features compelling performances by Samantha Garvey, Sammie Keach, Abigail Wehrman, Mikey Hardesty, and Camille Liptak — each contributing heart and humor to the story. The cinematography was masterfully handled by Vitezslav Rasl, with Jeff Dempsey on camera. The script was written by the brilliant Abigail Wehrman. Direction came from Mikey Hardesty, whose creative vision, leadership, and emotional intelligence shaped the story into something that resonated deeply with audiences. Mikey is a driving force in our film community and brought a uniquely grounded and comedic tone to Brothergirls that elevated every scene. We had an amazing crew, a phenomenal cast, and a truly unforgettable experience.

Now, we need your help. Our team has been invited to share Brothergirls on a global stage in Cannes, but travel and lodging expenses are steep. We’re asking for your support to help our cast and crew make the trip — to represent Denver, independent filmmaking, and the power of stories told in 48 hours. Every dollar goes toward flights, accommodations, and festival-related costs. Thank you for helping us take Brothergirls to Cannes!

All money will be evenly split amongst cast & crew that are able to go to the festival. Estimated around $3k per person for flights, lodging, and general travel costs. More than 10 team members are planning on participating in this amazing experience.

Even if you’re not in a place to donate, we’d still love your support — check out the film, share it with your friends, and if you’re on Letterboxd, give it a watch and leave us a rating or review! Every little bit helps us celebrate this wild, beautiful project and the amazing people behind it.
Keep independent film alive.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! ✨
