The Dayton Wolverines Track Club has achieved something incredible—more than 60 athletes have qualified for the AAU Junior Olympics in Des Moines, Iowa, during the first week of August. These athletes earned their spots by placing in the top six this past weekend at the AAU Regional Championships at Wittenberg University. This is a tremendous accomplishment for our team and a testament to the dedication and hard work of our athletes, coaches, and families.

However, for many of our athletes and their families, the cost of making this journey is a major challenge, and we are asking for your help. The Dayton Wolverines Track Club has always been committed to building the future of fitness, sports, and education through the youth of Dayton. Now, we need your support to help make this dream a reality during the final weeks of the season.

The funds raised will go directly toward travel expenses, including transportation (van rentals and gas), lodging, meals, athlete registration fees, and other essential costs. Although more than 60 athletes qualified, approximately 20 of them need financial assistance to make this trip possible in their pursuit of a national championship. We believe no child should be left behind because of financial circumstances. With the trip lasting 8–10 days, expenses add up quickly, and each athlete needs approximately $1,000 to cover the cost of their stay.

The support our athletes have received from the community in previous years has helped produce several national champions, numerous All-Americans, and many high school seniors who have gone on to earn college track scholarships. Last season alone, our team brought home 14 medals from the AAU National Championships in Houston, and more than 90% of our seniors continued their athletic careers at the collegiate level. This year, we already have eight seniors committed to competing in college, with more commitments still to come.
