Support our Aneurysm Warrior Julie Sawyer!

For those of you who have not heard, our beloved sister, mother, daughter, and friend Julie Sawyer suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm on Columbus weekend.  Julie was taken by helicopter from Samaritan to Crouse Medical Hospital in Syracuse.  She had to undergo an emergency high risk brain surgery to relieve pressure from her brain and put coils in the aneurysm in order to get the bleeding on her brain to stop.  The staff and care at Crouse Medical Hospital has been impeccable to say the least.  They only gave Julie a 50-50 chance that she’d make it out of surgery.  She has survived those odds due to her warrior spirit and the amazing out-poor of love, prayers and the team of surgeons, doctors and nurses working around the clock in the ICU to take care of her.  Each day poses its own challenges with vaspospasms, high infection rates, continuous round the clock care and the numerous neurological tests she will continue to go through in the weeks and months to come.  Julie is a fierce mother of two amazing children Reese and Gavin.  A loving partner to her spouse Dean, and a supportive and caring sister, daughter and friend to all who have had the opportunity to have her in their life.  She’s a bright light to all with an outstanding shining positivity that is very rare to find in a person.  She’s kind, loving and understanding.  She would literally give you the shirt off her back.  Julie will be in the ICU for several more weeks, followed by no driving or working for a minimum of 6-12 months.  This will also include continued visits with her neurological team in Syracuse for the rest of her life.  Julie will also have to undergo further surgery that will hopefully not happen until after she heals thoroughly from this aneurysm, as they have detected another small aneurysm that they are monitoring very closely at this time.  Our family is asking for any support you can provide to help Julie and her family during this difficult time with the ongoing costs of medical bills, travel, therapy etc.  I know she and our family are forever grateful for all of the love and support many of you have already shown her at this time.  We love you all and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support ❤️
