Support Our 4th Grader's DI Global Competition

Donation protected
We are a team of 4th graders at Elk Creek Elementary, who have been working together in a STEAM program since Kindergarten. The program is called Destination Imagination (DI). DI is a program where children are meant to do most of the work to solve a real community problem, work together, and share our project and results by putting on a play where we make our own sets, costumes and script. The judges score it, and if you place high enough, you advance to the next competition. We made it through Jefferson County regionals and placed 2nd in the Colorado State competition! We qualified to compete in Globals for the first time! We have worked very hard to come this far as a team, and through a pandemic none-the-less! Will you please donate to our team to help cover the registration and travel expenses so we can compete at Globals in the Kansas City Convention Center May 21-26th? Please help us make our dream happen. Thank you!

Sincerely,
Isla, Jay, Max, Ethan, Audrey, Ella

"Help Imagination Eagle Power get to Global Finals 2025!

After earning 1st at the Regional level and 2nd in State, Imagination Eagle Power has earned a spot at Global DI Finals!

For much of their elementary careers ... they have worked as a team to collaborate creatively to solve a broad range of challenges in multiple academic disciplines. They compete against other teams at the Regional, State and Global level- who devise their own creative solution to the same themed challenge. The project is designed and carried out by the children on the team. Team managers/ coaches help with teaching concepts, gathering resources to support the team's ideas and organizing meetings/ events, etc... but everything is completed 100% by the kids!

They build sets, costumes, props, write stories and scripts, engineer various devices, and this year carried out a community service project in addition to this and more! Much of the time things go wrong, don't work and they learn the perseverance of going through the process multiple times learning, growing and the resilience of getting back up again. It is beyond impressive to see the skills both they develop and what they learn and achieve in creating their solutions.

In this journey, there was an abundance of silliness, fun memories made, friendships built, hard work (8 months every school year working on a single project), creative muscles trained, ups and downs, lessons learned, resilience built, growth and now some big news with new opportunities on the horizon!

The fruits of this multi year learning process earned the team, these amazing life long lessons, memories and achievements! Please consider a donation to this bright light of our future to continue their journey".
