Support Otis Henry's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
My name is Domanique Henry my brother Otis Henry got into a motorcycle accident Monday night 10/7/24. A Toyota Tundra pick up truck hit him going 45mph. Otis was rushed to emergency and they began blood transfusion immediately. He is currently in the hospital in ICU. He lost a lot of blood, broke several bones like his ribs, leg, hip, and hand. He also has some spinal issues, kidney, liver, and lung issues. They had to open his stomach due to internal bleeding and swelling. He is on a breathing machine and is heavily sedated. He has had several surgery’s and has many more to come. Otis is a great father to his 8 year old son Leo and I know he misses him so much. My brother Otis Henry is a plumber and will be out of work for quite some time and this transition effect him physically, emotionally, and mentally. I’m starting this fund to grow as much support as I can for him. Otis has a long journey ahead of him and I appreciate all the help in advance.

  • UPDATE: Thursday, October 10th The doctors were able to finally close his stomach but waited till the next day to close his abdomen because of swelling. They’ve been letting him wake up out of sedation off and on to see if he’s responsive and he has been doing good with that but still has the breathing tube in.

  • UPDATE: Today is Tuesday, October 15th. Although Otis is still in ICU he has made so much progress. They removed the breathing tube out of him today and removed his neck brace but he is still on oxygen. After several surgeries he still has a couple more to go but he is recovering fast and well. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and is continuing to support Otis through this difficult time. I appreciate all the love and the prayers so much.

  • UPDATE: Otis was removed from ICU Friday night, October 18th. He is currently in surgical and finished his 2 surgeries on his knee and hand last night Monday, October 21st. He is off and on oxygen due to his ribs being broken severely his lungs are still having a hard time but his breathing has improved. He is now eating when he can but is still having a hard time keeping food down. Also due to so many broken bones and fractures he suffered from, his blood count is very high at this time. Thank you everyone, we are so grateful for all of your prayers, love, and support.
