Hello All

I’m raising funds to support my dear friend and colleague Os Roa in accessing gender-affirming surgery, primarily to assist with expenses during the lengthy recovery process. This surgery is not cosmetic but life-affirming, and will help to ensure that they can move through the world with greater comfort, safety, and joy in their own existence.

Os is a remarkable theater professional: a writer and projection designer whose work is as thoughtful and fascinating as they are. If you've had the pleasure of being in the audience during any one of their many productions, you'll know their work is thought-provoking, challenging and deeply, deeply personal. We met through the Latinx Theater Commons Designer/Director Colaboratorio, a space built on collaboration and remaining true to your artistry. Os continues to embody all of these values.

I am asking for your help. Every donation will go directly toward covering Os’s essential living and recovery expenses during this critical time. The funds raised will support:

Rent ($1,800)

Medications and medical co-pays ($640)

Post-op nursing care ($2,000)

Food and recovery supplies ($1,500)

Internet ($80)

Gas for medical appointments ($80)

Therapy ($400)
