The story of Oso… our (foster) dog

& why we need your help!

Oso was rescued from the shelter just hours before he was set for euthanasia because of “kennel stress”. The rescue who got him needed a foster and we heard about it and wanted to help!

We took Oso in and I am so happy we did. He is so loving and loyal. And all he needed to thrive was a loving home that would give him the time and attention he deserves!

Unfortunately, the rescue has abandoned him with us. We are continuing to foster him because we could never bring him back to a shelter but we have incurred costs that the so-called rescue was supposed to cover.

Oso had to go to the emergency vet recently and we now have a large vet expense we were not prepared for. I am asking anyone and everyone for their help covering these costs.

the diagnostics revealed he most likely has gastritis (& anyone with a GSD knows tummy issues are common)… the inflammation was serious enough to cause bleeding but he is being treated and the vet is confident he will recover swiftly.

It would mean the world to us! Every little bit helps. I will update everyone here on how he is doing over the next couple of weeks!
