Our sweet guy, Oscar Cecil Starman has been in a veterinary hospital ICU since Dec. 28th. After numerous tests, ultrasounds and blood work done over the past week, he was finally diagnosed with pancreatitis. This condition is highly survivable. To stabilize him to come home though requires days of 24/7 ICU supportive care including IV fluids, pain management, daily blood tests, glucose monitoring, plus doctors and nurse to care for him. As anyone you love, that brings you daily comfort, joy and companionship, you can't let them down when returning them to their quality of life is absolutely do-able, just expensive. We are 5-days in and told he needs another 48-hours before coming home. ICU is around $2,300 / a day, with the vet's estimated total at $16,000. Family, friends and neighbors, we need your help.
