Earlier this year, Oscar was diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). This is a type of motor neuron disease often called Lou Gehrig’s disease. The latter part of 2023 and 2024 has turned into getting 2nd and 3rd opinions and not wanting to settle with this diagnosis, we refused to accept the clinical fate of this disease. If you know Oscar, you know he is not one to give up, and in turn, his faith, his courage, his willpower, and determination have fueled us to keep going.

Fast forward to now, Oscar is enrolled in alternative treatments and clinical trials since a couple of months ago. This entails multiple treatments and nonstop researching, reading, asking, to get Oscar the best treatment, supplements, therapies available out there. All this comes at a great cost and expense that no one is truly prepared for. So, after months of juggling all this on his own with support from our family members and friends, we’ve decided to reach out to our broader community for support. It doesn’t come easy for Oscar to share this publicly but no fight is won in isolation.

The purpose of this GOFUNDME is to build a support fund to cover for transportation, monthly supplements, and so much more all centered around helping him get through this while God’s miracle is complete.

Any contributions will help alleviate some of the stress on us, his wife Faviola, and his sons but especially Oscar who is just trying to fight this illness with all he has and also live life wholeheartedly.

The most important thing we ask for is to have Oscar in your prayers, so all our voices are heard in the most highest.
