We’re reaching out on behalf of our dear friend, beloved diabolo performer, and co-producer of Boomerang Cabaret, Oscar Velarde, who is currently fighting through a devastating medical crisis.

At the beginning of April, Oscar underwent surgery for a stomach issue. Tragically, severe complications arose, and he has been in the ICU ever since, still intubated and unable to breathe on his own. His condition has deeply affected all who know and love him — his family, his friends, his creative collaborators, and his adoring audiences.

Oscar is not only an extraordinary performer whose talent has lit up stages across the country, but also a kind, hilarious, and generous soul who has given so much to his community. Whether dazzling with his diabolo or pouring his heart into producing Boomerang Cabaret, he’s been a source of joy, inspiration, and resilience for so many.

Now, he needs our help.

The road ahead will be long and difficult. Oscar faces mounting medical bills, recovery and rehabilitation costs, and ongoing living expenses as he fights to heal. We’re raising funds to help relieve the financial burden on him and his loved ones, so he can focus fully on recovery.
