Support Oscar Morales and Son After Tragic Loss

I am setting up this account on behalf of my good friend and coworker Oscar Morales and his 18-year-old son, Oscar Jr.

The untimely passing of Gabriela Morales has altered the lives of those who loved her. Oscar and Gabriela were married for 20 years, and the pain of losing her is unimaginable. Gabriela lost her battle to a chronic autoimmune disease, Lupus. Before her passing, Gabriela spent the last 4 months in the hospital, the majority of that time being in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Renown Medical Center in Reno, which is over an hour from where they reside.

Oscar is a journeyman roofer and is currently on his yearly mandatory layoff for the winter. Funds have become unbearably tight as they did not foresee these events unfolding, and not many of us can financially prepare for a hospital expense of that length.

Oscar and their son Oscar Jr. are having to deal with an unimaginable loss, as well as this very stressful financial hardship. They should not have to struggle financially while they are mourning the loss of their beloved Gabriela.
