Oscar has been a landmark in Mahwah for the last 20 plus years. He started working at Sonny and Tony's in 2005 as a busboy and has worked up to become the head waiter / dining room manager and is the longest tenured employee here. His hard work, dedication to everything he does, loving personality and compassion for others have endeared him to many many of us who know and love him.
Unfortunately, with the current events in our country, Oscar was picked up by ICE and deported last week. His father, a US citizen, filed petition for him but his paperwork was never completed and stuck in limbo for a long time.
Oscar has a wife and four beautiful children ages 17 months to 11 years including a disabled son, Matthew - all of whom Oscar was the sole breadwinner/caregiver for.
The plan is to pack and move the family back to El Salvador so they could be united with their father. He now has no employment and (as many of us recently) was living paycheck to paycheck, and so has no savings either.
Anything you could do to help our dear friend and brother through this most difficult time would be most appreciated.
Thank you very much
God bless
