For these children, there is no backup system. There is no government assistance, no safety net, and no guaranteed access to healthcare or education. Everything they receive depends on donations. Funds raised through this GoFundMe go directly toward: daily meals (rice, beans, cassava, bananas, and occasional protein), school fees, books, uniforms, supplies (basic medical care and emergency treatment), as well as maintaining safe living conditions for the children. Because of donations already received, the children were recently able to return to school with new supplies. I have personally received photos and videos showing supplies being purchased and distributed, and updates on how funds are being used.
Your support is making a real, visible impact. However, the needs are ongoing — and sometimes urgent. Recently, one of the children, Peter, was hospitalized with malaria, a serious and potentially life-threatening illness if not treated quickly. Medical treatment alone can cost hundreds of dollars, which is an enormous burden for a small organization that is also feeding and educating dozens of children every day.
This is the reality they face: If donations slow down, children go hungry. If funds aren’t available, medical care is delayed. If school fees aren’t covered, children are sent home. In the long term, the organization hopes to become more sustainable by raising livestock such as goats, cows, and poultry to help reduce food shortages. But right now, the focus is simple and urgent: keeping these children fed, in school, and alive. Even a small donation can help: $5-10 helps provide meals, $25 helps with school or medical costs, and $50+ makes a meaningful difference in daily care.
If you are able to donate or even share this fundraiser, you are directly helping children who would otherwise go without food, education, or medical treatment. Thank you for taking the time to read their story and for any support you’re able to give.
