I help orphaned children in Togo because I carry this need deeply within me. When I was four and a half years old, I lost my mother. I know what that pain feels like – the feeling of loss and uncertainty.

I also lived in Togo for a period of time, and I was given the opportunity to come to Switzerland and build a future here. I was lucky. And now, I want to give that chance back.

Because many children don’t have that opportunity. My goal is to give these children what many of us take for granted: access to education, clothing, food, safety – and most importantly, hope. And one day, I dream of opening my own orphanage in Togo.
