Hi, my name is Connor. I’m 22, and my 6-year-old cat Orla is my whole world.
Over the past few weeks, she’s been struggling with a series of medical issues that have hit us hard emotionally and financially. We adore our sweet girl and want her to have the best care possible, but the timing and cost—right around the holidays—have put us in a really difficult position.
Orla has been severely constipated (like… truly, impressively constipated). Despite multiple outpatient visits and medications, she hasn’t improved. This morning, we had to bring her back to the ER. Her bloodwork thankfully came back normal, aside from some dehydration, but her X-rays showed significant constipation and a large buildup of hardened stool in her intestines.
To treat this safely, the veterinary team recommended admitting her to the hospital for IV fluids, repeated enemas, and close monitoring. Tomorrow, internal medicine will perform a procedure to help fully unblock her if she doesn’t respond to overnight treatment.
The estimated cost for her hospitalization and procedure is $3,400–$4,600, depending on what she needs.
I’m asking for help, anything you can donate or even just sharing this link means the world. We just want our girl comfortable, healthy, and back home… and finally able to poop.
Thank you so much for reading and supporting Orla. ❤️
