- My name is Edith Crayton. My son is Orlando Shanks. He has been the custodial parent of 3 and an entrepreneur respectively for the last 23 years without incidence. He has been passionately servicing European automobiles throughout his tenure in the community and around the country. It is his only source of income. In an unfortunate turn of events, he has sustained a very serious on the job injury to his thigh and femur,(shattered). He had to have 3 screws placed at the pivot joint of his knee. The Doctors have ordered him to refrain from putting any body weight on the leg for at least 3 months for the bone to begin the healing process. But they say even then it won’t be fully healed. His brother and I are doing all we can to help out physically but financially it’s a struggle. It’s been just over 3 weeks into this disaster and the lenders are circling, and “Murphy’s Law”,(whatever can go wrong will go wrong), is busy. We worked all day and late into the night to complete a car for the customer to pick up the next day. But the next day there was police tape and a “Do Not Enter” notification from the Court on the door because of an unpaid judgement by the Court. Customer’s vehicle was inside. I’m doing this Go Fund Me asking for assistance from all who can be of help in this situation. In an attempt to keep the legacy of Heritage Motorcars of Byram operational your support is very much appreciated. It is our prayer to be able to satisfy ongoing daily expenses while Orlando, who is the sole operator in the business is healing and doing physical therapy to regain mobility and to stop the snowball from getting larger as he is going through this storm. The process is long and painful but I know with God in our corner and all your help it will work out in the end. Please know that we are ever so grateful and appreciative for your prayers and support. Thanking you in advance. Edith
