A Hard‑Won Milestone

Earlier this year, Orlando underwent an aggressive surgery to remove cancer from his face and jaw. He fought through the recovery and, in June, completed his radiation treatments and rang the bell—a moment of hope and celebration for everyone who loves him.

A Serious Setback

Shortly after this milestone, Orlando developed infectious abscesses, a painful and dangerous complication. This past Tuesday, he required another surgery to treat the infection and prevent further spread. This setback has extended his recovery timeline and added new medical challenges the family must now navigate.

Why We’re Asking for Help

With Orlando unable to work and the family focused entirely on his healing, the financial strain has become overwhelming. Many of the reconstructive procedures he has already undergone—and some of the treatments related to this new infection—are not covered by insurance.
