Support Sofia's Internship in Peru

Hello friends and family!

As some may know, this is my final year at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign! I have had the privilege of studying animal sciences on my pre-veterinary track. This upcoming July, I will be interning abroad with VAW Global Health Alliance, a global health and development organization committed to creating sustainable and equitable partnerships with local communities and professionals. I will travel to Cusco, Peru, for two weeks while working with local veterinarians and learning about common diseases and treatment courses. Aside from gaining an incredibly engaging and hands-on experience, I can explore Peru's beautiful geographical sites and landscapes.

I am very passionate about animal welfare, and an internship would not only allow for a chance to build my career but also an opportunity to grow as a person and future veterinarian. However, getting there is the biggest hurdle. Flights for international travel can be expensive, and I still need some help covering the cost of my airfare.
