This is Oreo! She is a 12-year-old Border Collie with cancer. She is the sweetest pup around—always ready with a smile and a kiss. Right now, she is a very sick little girl. She has a mesenchymal soft tissue sarcoma in her tail that has ruptured open into a large wound. The cancer tumor is now 80% necrotic, infected, and she is in a lot of pain. Our vet, Dr. Regan at Little Silver Animal Hospital, has said she needs surgery to remove her tail in order to save her life. She will be having this surgery at Garden State Veterinary Hospital. We are hoping to raise money to help pay for her surgery. We are not ready to say goodbye, and we don’t think Oreo is either. Despite her pain, she remains friendly and always loving on people.
