For the first time in over 100 years, our family won't be able to produce everyone's favorite Christmas flower. Hurricane Helene brought massive storm surge that destroyed the entire poinsettia crop and every plant on the nursery . My sister and I live in Colorado and felt absolutely helpless being so far away as we watched our little brother's farm and livelihood float away. The community has been incredibly kind and supportive, asking how they can help Tyler rebuild Orban’s Nursery. We decided to have a volunteer clean-up day/BBQ on Oct. 5th from 12-3 pm for anyone that would like to attend and a GoFundMe for anyone who would like to support the nursery monetarily. We are so incredibly thankful for the outpouring of love the Bradenton and surrounding communities have provided during such a heartbreaking time.
