Support OPEIU Local 39 Chief Steward, Joe Evica

UPDATE: After 2 weeks of striking on the picket line, Joe's job has not been reinstated after his wrongful and unlawful termination. Despite this, he remains committed as ever to his role as Chief Steward and winning a contract that reflects the value his coworkers bring to TruStage (formerly CUNA Mutual Group). To add insult to injury, in the last two weeks, Joe was hit with two major expenses related to his home that totaled more than $9,000. He's still without income aside from this fundraiser, so please support him financially in any amount, if you can.

Today our Chief Steward, Joe Evica, was informed that he has been terminated by CUNA Mutual Group. Joe has worked tirelessly together with his union to push for CUNA Mutual to fairly and honestly negotiate a union contract, an effort that has been going on since February of 2022. Through our union's legal collective action, the company has been put on defense and has lashed out in retaliation against Joe, filing erroneous charges, and now his termination.

Joe has committed to keep working diligently and in solidarity with his coworkers to fight the unfair labor practices of the company. Thank you for any help you can offer to help him pay his bills and support his family.
