Wow, so first of all, even asking sucks. But here’s why: In January, Tom was laid off from his job in software, leaving me the only one working. Since April, I have been having headaches and finally made the choice to be seen, finding out I have a cyst growing on my brain, and it’s gotta get the hell out. It’s left me with terrible headaches, dizzy spells, and fuzzy vision. Due to this, I am unable to work in my job as a Med Tech on a memory care floor. Thankfully, I have FMLA, so my job is waiting for me when I am back to “normal,” whatever level of normal there is after brain surgery.

But we’re asking for some help. I’ll be out of work for a majority of the summer, it’s looking like. And I have to pay my portion of my healthcare even while I’m out.

Thankfully, Tom does have a gig doing maintenance at our building, so our rent has been significantly reduced, but everything else is already stacking up.

We are looking at the possibility of a few nights staying in Boston for my surgery and having to go back and forth for appointments. So if you can, thank you, and if you can’t, thank you for just sending me some good vibes.
