Our little guy needs help.
On Saturday afternoon in a matter of hours, Onyx became suddenly very ill. It started with vomiting up his breakfast, and having accidents all over the house. He then began crying loudly and it was clear he was now unable to pass urine. We rushed him to the emergency vet and learned he had a life threatening urinary blockage, something that cats can develop with no warning. It usually shows up around 4 years of age in male cats. We found out he is genetically predisposed to this fatal condition at only 2 years old.
He has undergone emergency care and catheterization, and he will need ongoing medications, monitoring, and a prescription urinary diet to prevent it from happening again.
So far, his medical bills have reached upwards of $6,000 for two overnight stays to monitor his issues, and we will have more expenses for medications and long term care.
We are doing everything we can for him, any help we can recieve is a blessing.
If you are able to donate even a few dollars, or just share this link, it would mean the world to us. Every little bit helps us be able to give Onyx the care he needs.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us fight for our sweet boy.
We appreciate the love, shares, and support more than you know. ❤️
