Hello.

My name is Amanda. I am not one to ever ask for help when it comes to my own animals or things going on in my life.

One of my best friend/heart cat Onyx was rushed to urgent care and then transferred to ER due to urinary blockage. The only option to save him was sedation, unblockage, indwelling catheter and overnight care/meds/medical watch.

I have had him since he was 8 weeks old, he is now 6 years old.

Everyone who comes into our home is instantly greeted by him before anyone else. He is such a sweet boy, always asking for attention. He is loved by so many people.

This hardship is going to be a stress and burden on my family's financial situation. It would be one thing if we didnt have our 8 month old daughter, but with daycare being close to $1k a month, there is no way we can afford this added hardship right now and still afford bills.

I have maxed out my carecredit card to get him the care he needed ASAP. Im not even looking to get help with all of what has been spent, just some to help ease this for us at such a difficult time, especially being right after the holidays.

Any little bit will help, and is very appreciated.

So far we have paid $3900 for his care. As long as all goes to plan he should be discharged in the next couple of days

Onyx is currently hospitalized at Tufts ER and will be there until further notice. So far he is stable.

All funds will be used to cover medical costs
