On 10/21/24 my friend Onides Amador received a knock on his leg that had him on crutches for a couple months. He was unable to work during that period of time but had just recently made a full recovery. He loves to play soccer and he was dying to be able to play with our indoor soccer team once his leg healed. This week was supposed to be his chance to play the sport he loves once again. He came in to play but was being very cautious and not putting in any tackles or holding the ball long. However, on 03/24/25 he got his leg broken by an illegal tackle in our indoor soccer game. This tackle wasn't a natural or accidental part of the game. The opponent targeted him when he did not have the ball and kicked him where his old injury had happened. The referee didn't protect him either when it happened and tried forcing our team to continue playing the game. Our team immediately got off the pitch and took him to the emergency room. The doctors said his leg is broken and he'll require surgery. The day that was supposed to be his return to doing what he loves was taken from him. He's also unable to work again as well for a long period of time again unfortunately due to this situation. Onides is one of the greatest and kindest people we know. He didn't deserve for this to happen to him. Please help us raise money to help pay for his surgery and his inability to work. Anything will be greatly appreciated and will go directly to his family.
