THEME: Vulnerability and speaking out sheds social barriers.
DIRECTORS STATEMENT
I’ve wanted to tell stories ever since I was a kid. Together with my childhood friends, I’d take anything that could record a video and make my ideas a reality. As someone who’s had a hard time expressing who I am in a transparent way, this was a way for me to feel closer to others. I both was able to be vulnerable with my peers, but provide a platform for my friends to do the same thing.
Now, I’ve been channeling that same feeling from childhood in a professional context. The people I work with are the main focus for me. Everyone has a unique perspective, and being able to channel those voices and talents into a unified piece of art that we can all be proud of is my main passion. One Last Question is a testament to this idea, and to my mom’s influence on me growing up.

Your support, whether big or small, gives our creatives all a better shot at carrying out their artistic visions. Thank you so much for trusting the dreams, teamwork, and goals of student filmmakers!
MEET OUR CREW!
DIRECTOR: Noah "Keys" Keathly (He/Him)
Noah is a BFA Screenwriter in his last semester at Columbia College Chicago. Before coming to Chicago, he hailed from the cold, desolate land of Minneapolis, MN. His central passion is directing, but finds writing to be an important aspect that aids directing. He’s committed to making a community out of the people he works with, having been in a multitude of roles while keeping that goal in mind. Noah also enjoys writing absurd comedies centered around old men, and wearing glasses.
PRODUCER: Rachel Friling (She/Her)
Rachel is a BA Film & TV Student at Columbia College Chicago from Illinois. She wants to support and be a part of stories that audiences can resonate and see themselves in. Rachel’s excited to take on the producer role for the first time to make sure those stories are told! She’s an avid vinyl collector, so if you don’t find her at the record store, she’s more than likely watching films from the old Hollywood era. As a Jeopardy! enthusiast, she’s more than ready to be a producer.
DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY: Ivan Pynn (He/Him)
Ivan is a senior at Columbia College Chicago who enjoys all facets of picture-making with an inclination for strong stylistic lighting. He’s always looking to learn and try something new, both in movies and in life. When he’s not on set you can find him screaming at the Bulls on TV or sorting an infinite number of clamps at the Media Production Center.
WRITER: Mars Breeden (They/Them)
Mars is BA Film & TV Screenwriter at Columbia College Chicago, primarily engaged in writing television. They’ve always been interested in the arts and always will be, but screenwriting has allowed them to be creative to an extent that nothing else has lived up to. Currently, they’re forever grateful to be living in Chicago with their best friend. Mars also really likes cats, because cats are great- and Mars is, too.
PRODUCTION DESIGNER: Aries Hornbuckle (Take Your Pick)
Aries is a Film & TV Student at Columbia College Chicago, concentrating in writing. Having a passion for makeup, Aries is super excited to create the look for our 90’s grunge character, Van. Regarding writing, Aries loves to write pieces in the drama and horror genres. In Aries’ free time, you can find them watching TV shows and altering clothing like a pro.
EDITOR: Maggie Greenleaf (She/Her)
Maggie is a BFA Editor at Columbia College Chicago. She began her editing journey at 16 and has been obsessed with it ever since. Maggie loves playing with footage to give it a certain feel by changing tone and hues while tinkering with how light can affect a given scene. She’s way into fashion, and especially likes popular 80’s and 2010’s styles.
1ST ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: Logan Neill (He/Him)
Logan is a Film & TV Columbia College Chicago graduate. He’s a natural storyteller, and likes to express himself through writing, photography, and drumming in his band, Mistrophia. Most of Logan’s favorite films are about dreams and the surreal. He also enjoys inside jokes, (especially with Noah,) and sunsets.
GAFFER: Michael Bell (He/Him)
Michael is in his last semester at Columbia College Chicago. He was born and raised in the South Suburbs of Chicago, and before attending CCC, he attended a film school in Los Angeles. Michael is a huge action and comedy movie enjoyer with bold storytelling. In his free time, he’s a sports centered guy, often going bowling, golfing, or playing pool. He has a strong passion for working with lights and doing grip work on set.
