Help Save Max: Fighting for His Life Against Liver & Kidney Failure

Hi everyone, my name is Omar Ojeda, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my best friend, Max.

Max isn’t just my dog — he’s my family, my loyal companion, and my constant source of comfort and love through every up and down. He’s been with me through some of the hardest times in my life, always by my side with unconditional love.

This past week, Max suddenly became very sick. After testing, the vet diagnosed him with a severe liver infection that’s progressed toward liver failure, and now his kidneys are starting to fail too. His bloodwork is critically high, and the vet said we’re facing a very serious, life-threatening situation.

Max started liver medications on Saturday, but so far he hasn’t shown improvement. He’s still very jaundiced, weak, not eating or drinking, and barely able to move. Despite this, his vet believes there’s still hope if we act quickly and aggressively — but it requires intensive treatment, fluids, possible hospitalization, and close monitoring.

I’ve been covering as much as I can, but the costs are adding up fast — and it’s becoming more than I can handle alone. The vet estimates that his care could cost $3,000–$5,000 or more, depending on how he responds to treatment.

I’m asking for help from anyone who’s willing to support Max’s fight. Every single donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward his veterinary care and give him a chance to pull through.
