Support Omar Lopez Najera's Family Reunification

Hello, my name is Omar Lopez Najera. Recently, on June 10th, 2025, I lived one of the scariest days of my life. I looked on social media and noticed that an ICE raid was going on around the area where my mother worked. My mother has been in the process of trying to be legal in this country for a while. She never did anything wrong in this country and she doesn’t have anything negative on her record. She was simply trying to work and provide for my siblings.

That day, I was desperate, trying to find out exactly what happened and where. I made various phone calls trying to get the answers I needed. None of them gave me any clear answers. Later that same day, I received verification that her job was indeed a part of an ICE raid. I was freaking out trying to get ahold of her, and it was still the same. Later that day, I received a call from her, and it relieved all stress and worry for a moment, but I couldn't help but feel worse after. She was calling me and my siblings while crying.

My mother is the best mother there is. She is very kind, respectful, and is one of the best providers there is. Anyone that has ever met her knows that she has one of the best personalities ever. No one is as calm and gentle as my mom. She is someone that carries a lot of empathy for everyone. It makes me sad that they would take away a person like that. My story isn't unique. There are millions of other families being ripped apart. Till this day, it feels very wrong for ICE to seclude every type of information and detail about the whereabouts of my mother. I have yet to talk a full minute with my mom since that situation happened.

I ask everyone to please help and support my mother with her legal issues. My youngest brother is 6 years old, and it hurts me a lot to see him confused about the whereabouts of my mother.
