Hello, my name is Laura Bailey. I'm usually not one to ask for help, but I have found myself to be in desperate need of it. On October 31st, 2025, our handsome 15-week-old baby puppy O'Malley was bitten by a dog. The other dog, who happens to be his dad, was giving O'Malley a "leave me alone snap" and they managed to lock jaws. When his dad bit down, though, the sheer force broke O'Malley's maxilla bone in multiple places, pulling out and shattering teeth, and leaving bone fragments in his jaw. I took him to the closest available pet emergency (2-hour car ride) who was unfortunately not equipped to give O'Malley the care he so desperately needs. The vet sewed O'Malley up to stop the bleeding and did all she could do and referred me to a veterinary dentist. The vet called around to find O'Malley a specialist but no one does emergencies and aren't open on the weekend, so we are waiting till Monday, November 3rd to call and get him in. The emergency vet ran me at $1100 and unfortunately I am completely tapped out. I'm a single mom going to school to get my RN and O'Malley is going to more than likely need surgery to repair his jaw. I am asking for any help at all, even if it is just a share, to help me be able to get our baby the care he needs! He isn't just a dog, he is part of the family. It breaks my heart to see such a sweet and loving pup in so much pain. Even with all he has gone through, he still wags his tail and wants to play with his boy even though he can't. Update 11/03/2025:

Was finally able to find a specialist and made an apt for Wednesday the 5th for consult and surgery. Its all the way in Renton so it will be a long car ride for pup. Without seeing his medical records right away they gave me a rough estimate of 1000 to 2400 leaning more towards the higher end due to the damage I was able to relay. Thank you all again for donating and sharing. It means more than you will ever know!

Update 11/4/25

The last place cancled and said they couldn't do what needed to be done for O'Malley. I finally got ahold of another place which had the ct needed. Unfortunately they are telling me its going to cost between 9,000 and 12,000 rough estimate. His appointment is 11/5/25 at 10 am. Thank you all again for sharing and donating! Ill keep you posted!

Update 11/05/25

Another update on my pup! And for once its good news! The vet was able to cut the price in half! So Instead of a 12k bill, at most it will only be 6k. Which is way more doable! He is scheduled for scans and surgery tomorrow at 10! I absolutely love blue pearl! Again thank you all for sharing our gofundme and donating! It really means the world to me and my family!
