Hi! I'm Karen Hubbard, a proud Hoosier, Westfield Shamrock, Purdue engineer, McKinsey and Company alum, and now a rookie on Team USA Bobsled chasing Olympic gold.
After years of sprinting on the track, I took a leap of faith—and it landed me on ice. Literally.
This year, I was invited to Team USA Bobsled Rookie Camp, where I finished as the number one-ranked woman and the only one to hit the national B standard. That earned me a spot at Development Camp, Performance Camp, and Push Championships, all critical steps toward a strong season and Olympic qualification.
But here’s the part most people don’t know:
Team USA bobsledders are self-funded athletes who pay out of pocket.
I’m fundraising $30,000 to cover costs the average cost of a Bobsled season. Your donation helps me focus on what matters most: training hard and representing Team USA with excellence.
Your support will directly cover essential costs, including:
- Travel expenses to competitions and training facilities
- Lodging and meals during competitions and training
- Bobsled equipment and gear (ice spikes, burn vest, speed suit)
- Track fees and ice time at official training locations
With gratitude,
Karen Hubbard
