Help the Thomas Family Rebuild Their Home
Donation protected
For almost 30 years, the Thomas family’s home stood in the Central District of Seattle. It was more than a house, it was a sanctuary built by a hardworking single mother who raised five children, an immigrant family that found its footing in the heart of the city. Their home held birthdays, graduations, Sunday dinners, and quiet moments of prayer. It represented safety, love, and legacy.
On April 22, that home was destroyed in a devastating fire.
Thankfully, everyone made it out safely. But the family lost virtually everything—memories, belongings, and the roof over their heads. The home was fully paid off, but it was not covered by insurance. Now, the Thomases are facing the unimaginable task of rebuilding from scratch.
This family has deep roots in our Seattle community. They’ve attended neighborhood schools, graduated from local universities, and worshipped at Japanese Presbyterian Church. Their lives are woven into the fabric of this city, and now they need our support to rebuild.
As their local church community, we are asking you for help, not just to help the Thomases recover from their loss, but also to rebuild on the land they’ve called home for decades.
We are seeking to raise $50,000 to support the first phase of the rebuild, which includes:
- Demolishing and clearing the damaged structure
- Architectural planning and permit fees
- Utility reconnections and site preparation
This is the foundation, both literal and symbolic, of a return to stability. Every contribution helps bring this family one step closer to reclaiming their home and their future.
Please consider donating, sharing this campaign, or connecting them with resources that may support the rebuild effort. Let’s show this family that they are not alone.
With gratitude,
