Hello! My name is Annette Torre and Im reaching out today with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit for my dog Ollie. He is so much more than a pet to me , I adopted him almost 10 months ago and hes my heart. He brings me joy , laughter, and unconditional love every day. Unfortunately, Ollie is facing serious health challenge at 5 years old.

I took him into Blue Pearl on Christmas day and also the day after Christmas. He just wasnt acting like my ollie, and was yelping in pain and shaking, started to drag his back leg.

They did rectal exams, blood work , exray on his stomach. The veternarian diagnosed him with IVDD, which is Intervertebral Disc Disease. In most cases its where the cushioining disc between vertebrae bulge or rupture, pressing on the spinal cord, causing pain, nerve damage,weakness, and potentially paralysis. So, for 4 weeks I have to keep him resting , giving him pain meds and anti-inflammatorys for the inflammation.

After the 4 weeks he will be seeing a specialist , also will be doing acupuncture, water therapy. The last result if none of this works , will be surgery.

Its a bit of financial strain, just me walking into Blue Pearl cost me $1700 for exams , blood work , medications, etc.
