Our son Ollie is a bright and loving 9-year-old who has faced more challenges in his young life than most people do in a lifetime. Since the age of 6, Ollie has battled major health issues, starting with acute liver failure in May 2023. He spent weeks in the hospital, first at CHOC and then at CHLA, fighting for his life. Thanks to the incredible doctors, he was able to come home, but our relief was short-lived. Six months later, Ollie was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia, a rare and serious condition that has taken so much of his childhood from him.

Since his diagnosis, Ollie has been in and out of the hospital for treatments, spending his last three birthdays as an inpatient. Despite every effort, his treatments have not worked, and we are now preparing for a bone marrow transplant. As parents, our priority is to be by his side every step of the way, which means we are unable to work during this critical time. The financial strain of rent, bills, gas, Christmas, and hospital expenses is overwhelming, but our focus remains on supporting Ollie through his fight.
