Hello!

My name is Brooke Lewis. My son is Ollie Jay Lewis. Ollie Jay was born on 7/8/24. Ollie Jay was born with severe hydrocephalus and other brain abnormalities. He spent a month in the NICU between UC and Cincinnati Children’s. He had a VP shunt implanted at 1 month old. With his condition and needs, he has multiple therapies and appointments each week on top of unexpected hospital visits due to possible malfunctions with his shunt.

After his birth, I had to leave my job of 5 years to ensure he had someone to get him to and from appointments and be there to help him to ensure he has a chance to reach his full developmental potential. It has been rough.

We have exhausted all savings between unexpected hospital stays, gas, and medical bills. We are pinching pennies to ensure all these things are paid for while also paying our monthly bills.

My husband is working overtime when they offer it, and I am also working part-time when he is home and Ollie is not at appointments.

Making this GoFundMe is not something I ever imagined having to do, but here we are. Even if you do not donate, just know your prayers are enough.

I know God will see us through this regardless.
