Hi! My name is Olivia Duffy, and some of you seeing this page might know me better as Liv or Livi. Just a few months ago, my family got the news nobody ever wants to receive, that my mom was diagnosed with advanced stage cancer. It has been a shock to say the least, but she is the strongest woman I know and has never let her spirit and energy dim and she has maintained the post positive attitude and mindset possible. Through this complete life change, she somehow continues to inspire ME everyday to continue to be the best version of myself. We have received immense support already and every dollar is so unbelievably appreciated. I wanted to express my personal thank you and appreciation for all that support, but also wanted to contribute in a personal way that I can to show her my love and support from those who are able.

I have been running for several years and I am about to run my third half marathon this September in Rhode Island. It is always so much more motivating to run with a purpose, and in the past I have run in honor of my Dad, and for this run there is no clearer purpose than pushing MYSELF physically and mentally standing strong with and supporting the most amazing woman I know, who is putting her mental and physical fight first and foremost every single day for the foreseeable future. I have been training and cannot wait to show my support for my beautiful Mom in a few months :)

I also plan to donate a small portion to the American Cancer Society for the support of continued research and advancements that is helping my family right now and will hopefully help so many more who have been impacted by cancer.

Please help me run for this amazing cause. Any amount is so incredibly appreciated. The website made me set a goal, but this is more than that. Whether it's $50 or $500, I can show my mom that her physical and mental fight is honored and valued by this run and by all your support :)
