Hi friends,

My name is Olivia, and I’m a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nurse with a deep passion for caring for the most vulnerable lives, our tiniest patients. I’ve been given a life-changing opportunity to join the organization Tiny People Matter on a two-week medical mission trip to Zambia this year, and I need your help to make it possible.

Tiny People Matter is a global medical relief team that provides care for infants and children in developing countries. Their mission is to educate, encourage, and empower others to become advocates for vulnerable children and to bring life-saving care to those who cannot care for themselves.

During this trip, I’ll be working directly in Zambian clinics, hospitals, orphanages, and schools to:

Teach neonatal care practices like Helping Babies Breathe, The Golden Minute, kangaroo care, and infection prevention.

Support mobile clinics offering basic health checkups and first-aid care to children in underserved areas.

Provide prenatal education focused on maternal health, nutrition, and hygiene.

Train local staff in first-aid and newborn care, building a sustainable model of care for long-term impact.

As a NICU nurse, I’ve seen how critical early interventions can be in a newborn’s life and how education, even in its simplest form, can mean the difference between life and death. I’m honored to bring my skills to communities in Zambia, but I can’t do it alone.
