Hi guys! My name is Heather and I’m Olivia’s mom. The last two years have been extremely rough in terms of getting Olivia’s mental heath on a good path. We’ve tried numerous therapists, medications, sports, school counselors, case workers who check in on her regularly, anything to show my girl how much we care about her.
She’s struggled with numerous things (adhd, anxiety and dissociative disorder) and we are to a point now where she will get herself in a bad place and that’s the last thing I ever want for my baby. I didn’t ever think we’d get to a point where we’d have to send her somewhere but that’s where we are and that’s why I’m asking for help.
After a recent mental health crisis, a team of us have decided that the best thing for her at this time is to go to an inpatient facility out of state. While we, as her family, pull ourselves together. This is all very taxing on our other children, our jobs and our own mental health. This will allow her to get the help and support she needs while gaining tools to combat the things that trouble her and wear her down.
Insurance is helping, but we have to meet a very HIGH deductible. Due to these guidelines set by the insurance company , we are asking our family and loved ones for help with the costs of treatment. Her father and I (who are not together) pay our own bills and each have our other children to take care of. We both work full time in the healthcare industry while simultaneously working extra hours. However, we have other children at home and other responsibilities so there’s only so much we are capable of doing.
I will do whatever it takes to help Olivia. She’s our first born, my world, and my best friend. This is why I’ve gone to the lengths I have for her and will continue to do so. Her mental and physical health is my top priority. We just really need help and support!
Thank you so much in advance!
Heather , Olivia & Bobby
