Support Olivia's Medical Mission to Belize

Olivia is currently a nursing student at the University of Cincinnati. She has the opportunity this October to travel with Partners For Medical Relief to Belize to perform medical services and surgery for those patients in need.

The trip is one week long: 2 days for travel, 1 day of clinic, and 3 days of operating.

During the clinic, the team will see, assess, and help over 300 patients. Of those seen, over 50 patients will come back for surgery. These procedures include septal deviation, tonsillectomy, scar revision, lipoma and mass removal, thyroidectomy, facial fractures, facial reconstruction, and various traumas.

This opportunity will give Olivia an amazing chance to work with patients whose ages range from pediatric to geriatric. She will learn how to be resourceful when resources are scarce and how to be an asset to her team—even when it's a team she's only just met! She will gain an education in global health no textbook or classroom could provide—gained by hands-on service in the hospital in Corozal, Belize.

This trip is paid for by those who choose to serve. Volunteers pay $2500 to go on this medical mission. This covers air fare, travel, rooming, food and other expenses for the week.

The days are long, the breaks are few, but the rewards are numerous!
