Support Olivia's Family After Devastating Fire

Hi my name is Olivia Hubbard and on Dec. 29, 2024 our house caught fire, my 5 year old daughter, and mother in law to be was in the house, as well as our 4 pets that we managed to rescue, we are all alive. This has come shortly after Hurricane Helene hitting our mountains in Western North Carolina. We are currently distraught about our home that is now either to be considered a “total loss” or if we happen to find a contractor willing to do the work + depending if insurance says it’s salvageable, cut the entire master side of the house out. It will be months before it might possibly be livable again. We also completely lost 2 of our main vehicles. I hate asking for handouts but I am genuinely at a loss and unsure of what to do next. My partners had this home in his family for 20 years and it’s heartbreaking realizing we might be forced apart. I am really trying to figure out a way we can stay here, us both in school and with my family all together. Red Cross helped us night one and we are all currently staying at a hotel, safe with all of our pets. thank you so much for taking the time and reading our story, we really hope it’s not over yet.
