Olivia, my niece, has shown incredible strength over the past year and is now faced with metastatic cancer in both of her lungs. She bravely attempted chemotherapy, but the treatment led to a series of hospitalizations and an emergency surgery. Because of these complications, Olivia and her medical team made the difficult decision to stop chemotherapy. Now, Olivia and her beautiful family are preparing for another big step: temporarily relocating to Boston, MA for a new round of radiation. The tumors have grown large enough to affect her breathing and put her at risk for other serious problems, so this treatment is urgently needed.

This journey comes with many challenges, not just emotionally but financially. Olivia and her family are facing a high health insurance deductible, ongoing medical bills, and the significant costs of travel, housing, and daily living expenses during the 5-6 weeks they’ll be in Boston. Every bit of support will help ease their burden and allow them to focus on Olivia’s health and healing.
