An employee and close friend, Josh Harper, walked into my office and explained his absence to me. After I asked if he was doing alright given his appearance, his next words made my heart sink. Josh's daughter, Oliviakate, is currently in the hospital battling a severe kidney infection. The diagnosis is hydronephrosis of the kidneys. In addition, a birth defect caused her not to have the closing flap in the bladder, causing waste to flood back into the kidneys before it drains, leading to renal failure and sepsis on a consistent basis.

Insurance helps, but so does anything that anyone can give. She's spent her first Halloween in the hospital, and we're just trying to help her spend the next one grabbing candy from neighbors. <3
